Comr. Preye V. Tambou, Group CEO/Founder of Edgewise Group, has issued a charge to the public, emphasizing that true empowerment goes beyond temporary handouts. Speaking on the importance of sustainable solutions, Comr. Tambou stressed that empowerment should equip individuals with the tools, resources, and support needed to thrive and become self-sufficient.
“True empowerment is not just about giving; it’s about investing in the potential of others and helping them unlock their own power,” Comr. When asked by a public figure, “Who is responsible for the empowerment? Is empowerment a duty, responsibility or Charity or Social Service?” Comr. Preye V. Tambou, Group CEO/Founder, Edgewise Group, replied:
“Empowerment can be facilitated by various entities, including governments through policies and programs, organizations such as NGOs and private companies, and individuals like mentors and community leaders. Empowerment is a responsibility and a social service, not just charity. Governments and organizations have a duty to support citizens’ and stakeholders’ well-being. Empowerment initiatives should benefit marginalized or underprivileged groups, equipping them with skills and resources for long-term success.”
