Dear friends, tough times are inevitable. It is unfortunate, but the hard truth. At some point in our lives, things will not be easy for us. We will experience challenges and an entire array of uncomfortable emotions that we would rather do without. While it is easy to become discouraged or even get bitter in such hard times, exploring the idea of retreating can help us navigate with a more holistic attitude.

Most of the wisest, most loving, and strong people you have ever met are likely those who have known misery, known defeat, known the heartbreak of losing something or someone they loved, and have found their way out of the depths of their own despair. These people have experienced many ups and downs, and have gained an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, understanding and a deep loving wisdom.
Difficult times are part of life and it helps us grow. Difficult times offer us a great opportunity to heal and get back strong. Dealing with life’s difficult times makes us build invaluable strength which eventually enables us to successfully fulfill our deepest, most meaningful purposes. It is precisely from this same strength we are able to rise above hard times, we are able to make a difference and we are able to truly matter.

There are two important things we must not allow to happen when we face troubles and hard times: we must not let the problems consume us and we must not suppress or ignore our negative feelings. If you feel something too much, it has the power to take control of you. But if you ignore how you feel, it will build up and at some point in the future it will explode inside of you and then damage your spirit. When hard times hit, and the challenges you face are great, you can either let your situation define you, let it destroy you or let it strengthen you. The choice is yours to make.

We are taught at an early age that all difficulties are evil and harmful. Yet, how can we ever deal with real life if we are afraid to face what we really face? We need to face hard times, just as we need to feel alive. Hard times are meant to wake us up yet we try to hide our hard times. We need to realize that hard times could be something we need to pass through willingly, just like good sense. Because you can only learn how strong you are when being strong is the only choice you have. You should stand up and face your troubles, to endure it, to own your scars, to deal with the realities of life, as you grow into the strongest, wisest, truest version of yourself.

Do you feel down because of hard times? Do you feel unsettled and yearn to experience more peace in your life? Are you craving time to just be without rough moment breathing down your neck? Tough times are great times to hit the pause button, consider taking a retreat and meditation. Taking personal retreats sometime could be a wonderful, nurturing way for you to invest in yourself and your future.

Consider setting aside an entire day or weekend—completely void of all distractions—for a personal retreat. Use this time to rest, reflect, write and nourish yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually or you may want to spend this time getting clear on your life priorities and thinking about how you want to allocate your energy and resources over the next few days.

All will be fine. Difficult times are our opportunity to have a descent retreat which we honestly struggle to do when the road we travel is smooth. How could I have ever admired you and write beautiful songs about you if I lost no value in small or big measure in exchange for your friendship this is the characteristics of all the great accomplishments of the great souls living and in the years gone by. How do I expect to do any less. I am really for the sacrifice. My finest moments come in my hour of potential retreat due to an eminent defeat in the active overdrive as the most reliable source of strength in an unknown future because of physicality must be broken for spirituality to become full and active. Have I cried enough in this little song I wrote to you in my fine hour. God bless us.
